Her life is a testament to the power of the human spirit in overcoming adversity. Gulshan's youngest daughter Zara was diagnosed with epilepsy at a very young age. She transformed her struggle into a mission to bring solace to those in need and founded the Special Family Support Group (SFS) in 1999.
Gulshan is the founding member of Ahura residential home in Mumbai and an inspiring art mentor. She is also the first person in the UAE to dedicate a podcast for People of Determination. Gulshan's book "Why Me? Why Not Me? Thank God Me"? highlights the challenges and the overcoming of hurdles that families of individuals with Special Needs and the individuals themselves, face regularly.
