Every council must publish a Local Offer: one place that sets out the SEND support available where you live, from early years and schools to therapies, short breaks and how to request an EHC needs assessment.
It's the quickest way to see what your area actually provides, and who to contact.
SENDIASS
SENDIASS is your free, confidential and impartial advice service. It runs at arm's length from the council, so the advice is on your side.
They can help you understand your rights, prepare for meetings, apply for an EHCP, challenge a decision, or appeal to the SEND Tribunal.
